| FEATURES | BENEFITS |
| American Poplar hardwood is the standard hardwood used in our custom shutters. Our wood is harvested and milled in PA. Other woods can be ordered such as Maple, Oak, Cedar or Basswood. | Poplar is well known for its superb finishing and stability characteristics. |
| Custom paint or stain colors available to match any existing or new paint/stain finish. We provide all custom finishes: faux, pickled, hand rubbed...whatever you wish. | Shutters will match your decor perfectly. |
| Louvers operate on a tension system. This system can be maintained by the homeowner. | Provides the user with complete control of louver movement. Over time the louvers can be adjusted by simply tightening a screw which in turn tightens the tension system. This screw is very easy to access: 1. Open the shutter panels 2. Look about half way down to locate the screw 3. Use a Phillips screwdriver and tighten |
| Louvers available in the following sizes: The Ritternhouse: 1.5 inch The Brandywine: 2.5 inch The Fairmount: 3.5 inch | Traditional to contemporary looks available: your choice to match the decor of your environment. The smaller the louver, the more traditional. The larger the louver size, the more contemporary. |
| Hinged panel widths up to 36" | Single panels fit most window openings. Maximum views, light control and privacy are achieved with fewer panels. Larger window sizes require more panels to uphold the integrity of the shutters. |
| Easy to repair | Louver replacement can be performed on site. |
| Custom Shapes and styles are our specialty: arches, sunbursts, angles, curves...whatever you need. | Our shutters can be customized to fit virtually any opening. |
| Can be used in any climate: hot, cold, humid or dry. The use of real wood provides this flexibilty. | The timeless beaty of the shutters will have an elegant look for many years. |
Multiple installation options available: | Custom installation provided to adapt to your windows. Applications for outside mount: windows that are out of square, the windows tilt inward for cleaning, or personal preference. Applications for inside mount: a clean look desired, less light shows, or personal preference. |
| Rabbeted inner styles are used | Rabbeted refers to the overlap where two panels come together on the shutters. This forms a light stop. Thus less light will enter through the shutters. |
| Louvers are completely operational: can open and close in both up and down positions. | Maximum privacy and light control are achieved when the louvers are closed completely. Thus, the more open the louvers are, the more light will enter the room. |
| Mortised hinges | Provides tighter tolerances with a custom quality appearance. |
| 2.5 inch stiles | Results in a stronger shutter. |
| Our wood is milled and the shutters are manufactured and finished according to strict guidlines. As a result, our high quality shutters will not warp, crack, chip, peel or split. | Peace of mind knowing that the shutters will have a long life and remain beautiful for many years to come. |
